Recent Beauty Haul

Over the last couple of months I've been collecting the items i've been buying and here's the haul to show you all them. Some of the items I've bought separately and a couple have come through a beauty box subscription.

I've always loved Rimmel's mascara and when they brought this new rockin' curves one into the scandal eyes range I really wanted to try it out. When I seen that it was £4.50 on Asos I had to buy it. There was a sale on through Asos on Rimmel but it doesn't seem to be on anymore, but I've seen you can buy this mascara in Tesco and Boots for £4.99 currently.
Available here.

Next up is a new mascara from Seventeen, it's currently on an introductory offer of £4.99 at £2 normal price. When I bought this the superlash eyeliner came along as free gift, you can see this below.
Available here.

This last mascara truthfully I have no clue about I received it in the January LoveMe Beauty box.
It's available here for £23.00.

Recently I've been doing my best to try and sort out my lack of eyeliner skills, trying out all different kinds and attempting to get them to work for me.
I found this NYC liquid liner in poundland but it's available in superdrug for £2.49 here.

This Lord & Berry eyeliner I also received in the January LoveMe Beauty box, it's available here for £7.50.

This eyeliner isn't currently on the boots website, but I'm sure you will be able to still get it free along with the mascara on the introductory offer.

The last two items I also bought through the Asos sale, first up is the new Rimmel space dust nail polish in Aurora, this was £2.50 in the sale but is available for £3.99 in boots or elsewhere here.
The last item I bought was the Rimmel Apocolips in Celestial, this was £4.50 in the asos sale. It's currently available for £4.99 in boots here saving £1.50 off the normal price.

Face of The Night: A Birthday Party

Hey guys, so I went to a friends birthday party a couple of weeks ago and at first I didn't plan on making it a post but while I was waiting for my taxi I took a few sneaky pictures, they're not the best and it doesn't show up the eyes properly but it was really impromptu.

Here's what I wore
 Face:
- Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation
-2true face power
- Vivo Baked Blush in Cinnamon Glow

Lips:
- MUA Matte Lipstick in Wild Berry

Eyes:
- Rimmel London Eyeshadow Quad in 002 Smokey Brun
- Calvin Klein Tempting Glimmer Creme Eyeshadow in Sheer Nectar
- NYC City Curls Mascara in Carbon
- Model.Co Fibre Lashxtend mascara in black.

For my eyes I used the creme shadow as a base and then used the, 2nd lightest shade in the quad towards the inner half of my lid and the 2nd darkest shade on the outer half of my lid. I used the lightest shade as my inner highlight and brow highlight.

NYC City Curls Mascara Review

I've wanted to write a review of this mascara for a while now and I'm finally getting around to it. Since buying it and trying it out it's become my staple mascara, it's the first one I pick up in the morning for college. I found it really help open up your eyes while giving them some volume. I've found that the curling effect it gives can differ from day to day and I would say it give a better effect when the product is newer but it still works well later on. The product Is easily build able and doesn't clump your lashes.
The brush has a curl in to to help work the curl in the lashes, this is great if you've used a curler before hand but still works great if you don't. I like to use both sides of the curled wand for my upper lashes and use one side of it for the bottom, I've found this way it doesn't transfer onto your skin and lasts all day long.

In this picture I have 2 coats of the mascara on without curling my lashes before hand.

This mascara is great for £2.49 from Superdug or you can see it for cheaper in my Fragrance Direct haul. I've been really impressed with this mascara and I really want to try out more products from this brand.

Fragrance Direct Haul!

Over the holidays I had made a few sneaky purchases some being in the sales and some not (I bought myself a new iPod Touch 5th gen opps!) I thought why not order from Fragrance Direct my banks already hurting. I then received a free postage email from them and it made me want to order even more. Here's what I bought.

First up I thought I would try out this concealer and fixing power duo from Manhattan. Before shopping with Fragrance Direct I'd never heard of this brand so we'll see how it goes.
I bought this in the shade '30 Warm Beige' for £1.99 here.

Next up I purchased an 15 colour eyeshadow palette from Royal. Like the last brand I'd never heard of it before shopping with Fragrance Direct, but this pallet seemed to look somewhat like the Naked 2 Pallet from Urban Decay so I thought I'd give it a go.
I bought this for £1.99 here.

I tried out a mascara from NYC through superdrug before and when I seen these eye shadows on Fragrance Direct I thought I would give them a go.
I bought them in the shades '905 Gossip Girl' '923 Midtown Mocha' and '906 Luxury Reborn'
These were £0.50 each here.

I have tried a tinted lip balm from this range before (here) and I wanted to try out their foundation ever since.
I got this in the shade 'G06' for £2.99 here.

The next item I picked up was again a foundation, I read up some reviews on this product before buying and they were quite mixed. But for £3.50 I thought even if it's bad it's not a massive loss. I bought in shade WRF2 here.

When I mentioned before in the NYC eyeshadows that I'd previously bought a mascara from them, it was the city curls one above and I was really impressed with it that I had to buy it again (Review coming soon!) and I decided to try out another of their mascaras, the volumising show time one, both in Carbon.
The City curls mascara was £1.49 here.
And the Show time mascara was £1.99 here.

I haven't tired out anything from Sleek before but I've heard great reviews about all of their products so I picked up these two nail polishes for £0.99 each. I bought the shades 'Rust' and 'Cotton Candy' here.

I've always wanted to try the St.Tropez tan but have never been able to justify the price for myself as I've never been a massive tan fan, I'll just put some on when I'm feeling a little pale in the summer and it will normally only be my legs. So when I seen this for around £3 I thought I'd try it out. The mousse isn't available on itself on the site any more but you can buy it as a duo for a couple pound extra here or you can look at the range here.

Everyday Makeup

Here's the products thats I use on a daily basis. Because I apply my primer in my room and then apply my make up in the bathroom because of better lighting at 7 in the morning I forgot to add it it, but I use The body shops Moisture it primer which is great for normal - dry skin.

After the primer I use Rimmel Wake me up foundation in the shade soft beige (200).

If I have any redness or pimples that need covering I use Avons Ideal Flawless concealer stick in medium.

As I don't have oily/combination skin I don't really need power but I feel more complete when I've used it, I use 2true smooth matte powder in shade 1/2.

For blush I use VIVO's baked blush in Cinnamon Glow with it's slight shimmer it doubles up as a good highlighter too.

My favourite mascara of the moment is NYC's City Curls Curling Mascara in Carbon Black.

To highlight my brow bone and the inside of my eyes I use this Rimmel Colour Rush Quad in Smokey Brun.
