Updated Hair Care Routine

Over the last 2 months I have added blonde highlights and attempted to dip dye/ombre the ends of my hair. With them both being blonde I've added a lot of bleach into my hair and although I left it a while before I did both processes they still made my hair rougher and more on the dryer side. Now my hair has never been like this before so I didn't have a clue what to use and at the time I was just loading conditioner on and that was working. So when I went into my local poundland and picked up these two shampoos and conditioners although they are for coloured and highlighted hair I never expected them to do anything. And to my surprise they actually helped bring back my hair to how it was before, no more dry and knotted hair. In the shampoo bottle you can actually see how much has been used and that's how fast this product has worked. I would say this helped my hair within the first 2 washes of using it. I don't know if they are still available but I really want them again in the future. Please poundland.

The next product I use is the John Frieda Frizz Ease Original Formula Hair Serum (I've done  review on this here) I pump it once and then a little bit and rub my hands together and run them through my hair and ruffle it up. Sometimes I will brush it through my hair but I find just running my hands through does the job. It really does help tame down the frizz in my hair.

Last up is the heat protectant spray I use, In this picture I've placed them out wrong I should have done them in the routine I use them but oh well. This product I use last, I will spray it all over my lop layer of hair then I will flip my hair over and spray it through again.

Fragrance Direct Haul!

Over the holidays I had made a few sneaky purchases some being in the sales and some not (I bought myself a new iPod Touch 5th gen opps!) I thought why not order from Fragrance Direct my banks already hurting. I then received a free postage email from them and it made me want to order even more. Here's what I bought.

First up I thought I would try out this concealer and fixing power duo from Manhattan. Before shopping with Fragrance Direct I'd never heard of this brand so we'll see how it goes.
I bought this in the shade '30 Warm Beige' for £1.99 here.

Next up I purchased an 15 colour eyeshadow palette from Royal. Like the last brand I'd never heard of it before shopping with Fragrance Direct, but this pallet seemed to look somewhat like the Naked 2 Pallet from Urban Decay so I thought I'd give it a go.
I bought this for £1.99 here.

I tried out a mascara from NYC through superdrug before and when I seen these eye shadows on Fragrance Direct I thought I would give them a go.
I bought them in the shades '905 Gossip Girl' '923 Midtown Mocha' and '906 Luxury Reborn'
These were £0.50 each here.

I have tried a tinted lip balm from this range before (here) and I wanted to try out their foundation ever since.
I got this in the shade 'G06' for £2.99 here.

The next item I picked up was again a foundation, I read up some reviews on this product before buying and they were quite mixed. But for £3.50 I thought even if it's bad it's not a massive loss. I bought in shade WRF2 here.

When I mentioned before in the NYC eyeshadows that I'd previously bought a mascara from them, it was the city curls one above and I was really impressed with it that I had to buy it again (Review coming soon!) and I decided to try out another of their mascaras, the volumising show time one, both in Carbon.
The City curls mascara was £1.49 here.
And the Show time mascara was £1.99 here.

I haven't tired out anything from Sleek before but I've heard great reviews about all of their products so I picked up these two nail polishes for £0.99 each. I bought the shades 'Rust' and 'Cotton Candy' here.

I've always wanted to try the St.Tropez tan but have never been able to justify the price for myself as I've never been a massive tan fan, I'll just put some on when I'm feeling a little pale in the summer and it will normally only be my legs. So when I seen this for around £3 I thought I'd try it out. The mousse isn't available on itself on the site any more but you can buy it as a duo for a couple pound extra here or you can look at the range here.

Review: Bourjois Une Sheer Lip Balm

Before I stumbled across this line on fragrance direct I hadn't heard of it. So when I placed an order with Fragrance Direct I thought I'd give it a go since it was founded by Bourjois.

As there wasn't much about this product online I wasn't sure to expect when it came to the colour or the pigment of the colour in the balm. When it arrived I ended up liking the colour, it's a neutral but I found that good as I'm easing my way into wearing lipsticks. It's good for those days where you want a little colour, want some moisture on your lips but don't want something bright and strong.
I bought mine in the shade S05.

I really like this lip balm and will be ordering more colours soon.
These are available for £1.99 from Fragrance Direct.

Fragrance Direct Haul

As it's now Autumn/Fall and Winter slowly on it's way I wanted to dark lip colours for this time of year. So I made my way onto Fragrance Direct to see what I could find.

Bourjois Une Sheer Lips Lip Balm - £1.99 In Shade S05
This is from the new natural beauty line from Bourjois.

So here's the colours I choose as my fall colours, I'm not very 'wild' when it comes to lip colours so the dark pink/purple will be a test for me.
In the shades 103 Rosewood Blush (Left on swatch) and 300 Nude Sweetness (Right on swatch).
As well as the tint there's a lip balm on the other end.

I wanted more neutral eye colours and thought this pallet would be great to help me start.
I feel the only downside with this product is that I bought it would have been bigger than it is.
