My First Illamasqua purchase!

Recently Illamasqua had a sale on in which they had discounted products down to as low as £5 and as I've never even thought about trying out any of their products due to the main fact that I could never afford it and I would never be able to justify spending that much money on product. Like I said I've never tried anything from here so when it came to picking out a shade of foundation I had no clue where to start. I looked through the shades in the sale and couldn't pick between 2. For £5 each I bought both, plus there was an extra 10% so they were £4.50 each.

The first shade I picked up was CF133. This was the 'darkest' lightest shade that was in the sale, so I thought I would give this one a go. I have a feeling that I will end up choosing this one as my shade.

The second shade I picked up was CF150. This was the 'lightest' medium shade in the sale. Just from looking at it in the pot I know it will be too dark for my shade so I've given it to my mum and she's happy with her new present.

I still have yet to use the foundation but once I've used it and had time to get used to it I could do a review or a post with what I think about it? Let me know in the comments.

Here is a link to the £5 Illamasqua sale, it finishes 2pm today.
They have free postage as well, which is always good.

P.s I apologize for the lack of post last sunday I was busy in work and had to stay longer than I thought I would. That's what I get for leaving it till the day to write the post. My resolution for February is to write the weeks posts on a Friday when I'm off work and college.

What's In The Body Shop's Ultimate Brush Collection?

Hey guys I got this collection for christmas from my parents, with the brushes being expensive you could say that this was one of my main presents. I would've never of bought these for myself as I've found so many good cheaper makeup brush dupes from various places before (Poundland and Ebay) but I was so happy when I received these. So I decided to blog about what brushes I got in the Ultimate brush collection from The Body Shop.

I have yet to use these brushes they all look so nice I'm delaying using them. They all feel so soft though and although I'm delaying I can't wait to use them.

The Body Shops Bushes can be found here.

If you would like a full review on these brushes when I've been using them let me know.

First & Second Impression: Max Factor Whipped Cream Foundation

Hey guys in the latest edition of Glamour magazine there is a sample of Max Factor Whipped Creme foundation in the shade '50 Natural'. Turns out this is the perfect shade for me.

First Impression:
When I tried this out I had recovering pimples on my forehead that had some dry skin around, and the first thing I found about this foundation is that it does cling to dry skin. Because of this when I added concealer it made it look funny as well, so to fix this I had to try peel/ scratch the dry skin off the best I could. I need to mention that I didn't moisturise before I put the foundation on because I don't normally need to. I found that this gives a light to medium coverage as my red patches from the pimples and natural red patches in my skin were still showing through slightly. This foundation has a pink undertone.
It lasted well all day, I applied it early morning (9ish) and didn't take it off until evening/night time and there was still a good amount of foundation on my face, still with good coverage.

The only difference with the second impression is that before I applied the foundation I moisturised my face. Because of this the foundation did stick to the dry skin as much and didn't make it obvious and it worked alot better on my skins.

Overall I actually really liked this foundation and I will be buying this sometime in the near future. I feel it's a great winter foundation as it's a great colour match.

P.s I really apologise for the lack of images to support what I've said but I was in a rush the two days I was trying this out and couldn't get time, or when I did I didn't like any of the pictures :(
