Review : Maybelline Dream Nude Airform foundation

Hey guys today I'm reviewing the Maybelline Dream Nude Airform foundation. I really wanted to try something else other than my Rimmel true match foundation that I use everyday. I haven't used any Maybelline foundation before so I didn't really know what colour to choose, I hadn't seen this foundation in any of my local shops so I couldn't test it in store. I'd tried out the site findation which helps you find your shade in other brands by using a shade you use in a certain brand, this wasn't on their so I took a shot in the dark and chose 005 Light Beige. I really wanted to try this foundation out as it's different to your typical foundation. I found it brand new on Ebay

Before you start with this foundation you have to make sure that you shake it well, you need to get that colour circling around the can/bottle. When you press down to get the foundation out it's hard to have control on the amount that comes out, there is a good amount that comes out. When I first used this I found that it was quite pale (It matched great to my skin colour, but I prefer to go for a shade darker to give myself a little colour. Because of this I found the shade a little pale for me.) I'm not a brush user to apply my foundation, and that's typically fine with other foundations, but I found it hard with this one. I need to try it out with a brush or a sponge and hopefully that can get it working well.

A plus side to the foundation is it does what it says and feels lightweight and like you have nothing on, I found  that it took about a minute or two to 'dry' as such even with powder on top. After applying the foundation and power I apply mascara and I can be a little messy at times with this (getting it on my nose, on my lid and under my eyes, beauty things I suck at ;) haha) I use a wet wipe to remove the extra mascara and it does tend to 'smudge' the foundation and it needs reblending as if you don't, you'll have a pale mark.
This foundation has a light coverage, so if you do have redness or an uneven skin tone a few layers may be needed.

I know this review sounds like a lot of negative comments on this, but I wanted to try it out and tell you guys what I thought about it. But like I said above once you have got it on, it feels really lightweight and blends in well. Once it's had a good shake the colour comes out well and it stays on the skin for a good half a day plus.

Have you tried this product? What do you think?

Pheobe xoxo
