Riding a Mechanical Horse!

I know this post isn't like the past ones I have done but I really want to write about my experience I had when I got to ride a mechanical Dressage horse. Here's what it looks like:

There is no pictures of me on the simulator so I found an image of it on Google.

It felt so weird to ride, in college we have gp saddles for all the horses so riding in a dressage saddle felt weird enough but then when it started the paces felt totally different from the college horses. For one you have to do sitting trot (not my thing.)  When you are riding there is a program within it to where you can see how you ride within all 3 of the paces, how much you pull on the reins and how much leg you are putting on.
Here's what it looks like and this is m ine, I know it's not great but I've only been riding properly (in college) since September, although I am slowing improving.
The bar on the far right is how much leg contact you put on in the three paces, next to that is the rein contact, far left is if you are centered in the saddle throughout each pace, the bottom left is if you are in front or behind the movement in the pace, and the white circle is how still you are in the saddle. The yellow circle has a red dot in it when you apply pressure to the seat, the dot gets bigger the heavier you are on the seat.

The main point I want to get across is that if you do like horses you should give this a try, it's great for people who have never even been near a horse before to the people who have been with them for years.
I had to chance to ride this at Carrington Riding Centre in Manchester but I'm sure there are many people who have the Racewood Riding Simulator.

My lifestyle posts with be likely to involve horses!
