With my college being over an hour and a half away from where I live I spend a lot of time traveling on a bus, As I've always read but wanted to read more I found this the perfect time to read. 3 hours of reading time a day is great, this is when we are on the flat roads and my stomach will allow me to read on the bus.
From this I decided to start a little series where I say the blurb of the book for you guys and then give it a little review of my own and rate it by 5 stars.
I hope you guys are ok with my doing this as I know by blog isn't in a particular category, but most of my posts are beauty related. From this I will be doing this and more lifestyle posts.
Blurb:
R is a zombie. He has no memories, no identity, and no pulse, but he is a little different from his fellow dead. And then he meets a girl. First as his prisoner, then as his reluctant guest, Julie is a blast of colour in R's grey landscape, and something inside him begins to bloom. He doesn't want to eat her, he wants to protect her. He wants to breathe again. He wants to live. This unlikely bond will cause transformations they can't imagine but their hopeless world won't change without a fight.
My Opinion:
I do have a thing for Zombies, I watch tv shows, films and have an ipod case that says keep calm and kill zombies on, but I'm also a hopeless romantic (as you'll see from a few books I read) so when I seen this book come out I knew it would be a great read for me, and it was. It was greatly written and it's been out since 2010 and I'm disappointed that I've only found this this year when a film version was adapted. This book make you feel sorry for the Zombies and it makes you think, they are (slightly) still people. Although I wouldn't think like that if they came charging at me. It's a great book if you love a bit of Rom - Com and it has a few sentimental arts to it as well. It's a story that stays with you, and I can't wait to read the pre-qual that came out early this year and the sequal when it's finished.
