The Blurb
Belly measures her life in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer--they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But one summer, one terrible and wonderful summer, the more everything changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all along.
My Opinion
This is the first ever 'summer novel' I've read and I have to say it made me question as to why I haven't read any before. I made the big mistake of choosing to start this book about 10 minutes before I went to sleep, I got through half the book before I put it down to sleep. It's a typical girly book, but for a light read there's nothing better. Although it's a light and fluffy girly read it does have a serious side to it with life struggles in different variations and growing up. It keeps you hooked and wanting more. The best thing about this book.... It's a summer series and there's two more book after this. I'm already onto the next one.
